Adult Volunteers

Adult volunteers play an integral role in the hospice program and are an important member of our interdisciplinary team.  All volunteers receive training before being assigned a volunteer role.  Volunteers who work directly with patients in our inpatient centers will receive additional training. Most adult volunteers spend four hours, or less, per week fulfilling their volunteer commitments to Hospice.

New volunteer training classes are formed numerous times throughout the year, or as a particular need arises. At this time, our greatest need is for home care and nursing facility volunteers who are willing to work with patients living in Lucas, Fulton, Henry, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky and Monroe counties.

"They all did a spectacular job, including the cleaning and kitchen staff. Treated us very well, especially my mom. I have nothing but the utmost respect for your organization. They are all angels working there. "Thank you" for everything you do."
