Hospice of Northwest Ohio will acquire the operations of ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence on or before October 31, 2023. The 12-bed inpatient facility, opened in 2008 on the campus of ProMedica Flower Hospital. The facility provides short-term care for hospice patients who have acute or serious medical issues that require constant monitoring and/or intensive pain and symptom management.
Hospice of Northwest Ohio currently operates two additional inpatient centers: The Edward & Marion Knight Hospice Center opened in 1995 on East River Road in Perrysburg and The Virginia Clifford Hospice Center opened in 2004 on South Detroit Avenue in Toledo. These inpatient centers have served more than 25,000 patients and their families since their opening.
“We are excited to extend our inpatient hospice services to Sylvania and its surrounding communities. We are looking forward to welcoming the facility's existing employees to our organization. Patients and families can expect the same high level of care and expertise that Hospice of Northwest Ohio has been providing for more than 40 years. This will certainly honor the legacy established in 2008 with the opening of the Ebeid Hospice Residence,” said Rick Russell, Hospice of Northwest Ohio President and CEO.
