Help for Employee Caregivers
While Hospice of Northwest Ohio provides assistance to caregivers on our program, we recognize many in the community are caring for someone not ready for hospice care. The Balancing Act: Help for Employee Caregivers is a new initiative designed to provide education and support employee caregivers.
Employers are often not aware of or prepared to support employees affected by the complex demands of family caregiving. The employee family caregiver does not wish to be categorized as a worker who gives less than 100%. Workplace expectations may force employee family caregivers to suppress stress and emotions caregiving creates while appearing to be performing well at work.
Working with area employers to offer on-site lunch and learns and off-site workshops to their staff, we help bring balance to the increasing numbers of employed caregivers.
By offering The Balancing Act programs, you can provide needed support for valuable employee caregivers with programs conducted by Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
