Teen volunteers come in after school, evenings and on weekends. Hours can be flexible.
Becoming a Hospice Teen Volunteer
More than 80 teens from about 20 area high schools volunteer at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Teens visit with patients and their families and help the staff with many tasks. They work after school, evenings and weekends and generally make a four-hour-per-month volunteer commitment. All teens must complete a comprehensive orientation before starting their volunteer assignment.
