Trent Dorner
Former Teen Volunteer

"Volunteering is a rewarding act---building relationships with the patients and growing as a person. Though I have given my time and energy to volunteering, I have gained much more from the experience."

Becoming a Hospice Teen Volunteer

More than 80 teens from many area high schools volunteer at both Hospice Centers. Teens visit with patients and their families and help the staff with many tasks. They work after school, evenings and weekends and generally make a four-hour-per-month volunteer commitment. All teens must complete a comprehensive orientation before starting their volunteer assignment.
